In almost 30 years of designing contract furniture our entire concept of work and workplace design has been transformed, first by the advent of the personal computer, and then magnafied by the unprecedented growth and adoption of the internet. New collaborative work efforts, work from anywhere flexibility and the continued miniaturization of electronic components require a completely new approach to every area of interior design and furnishings, from alternative offices to hotel rooms, hospital rooms, airports, and all of the transitional spaces in between.
 

To keep pace with all of this transformative change we have ourselves adopted a whole new set of design tools, including powerful 3-dimensional CAD modeling, rapid prototyping and instantaneous communications with facilities around the globe to revolutionize the way that products are designed, produced and sold. Tolleson Saul Design continues to deliver award winning and successful furniture designs, but with a faster time to market, and quality results better tuned to the markets they are designed to serve.
 

Within a short time of beginning a project we can construct whole conceptualized solutions in 3D computer models that can be shared with customers, designers and end users to insure that the objectives are being met and to effectively refine the solutions. These same constructs can be used by the factories to estimate manufacturing costs and to complete preliminary structural testing and themselves become a collaborative tool to connect team members in different locations.
 

Following these initial (virtual) evaluations and refinements, Tolleson Saul Design has in-house wood, metal and upholstery capabilities to produce full scale operational prototypes in a matter of weeks. This ability to do real world testing is essential to fine tuning the design and can greatly reduce the time the factories need to produce consistent quality parts and assemblies.
